Tiritiri Matangi Island ferry from Gulf Harbour
Gulf Harbour is also a pickup point for the ferry to Tiritiri Matangi Island, the open wildlife sanctuary about 25 minutes across the water. This is a separate service run by Explore Group, not the Auckland Transport commuter ferry, so it is booked separately and AT HOP does not apply. It runs Wednesday to Sunday, plus public holidays, with extra sailings in peak summer. The Gulf Harbour stop is highlighted below.

The Gulf Harbour ferry provides a commuter service from the Whangaparaoa Peninsula to downtown Auckland. The 50-minute crossing avoids the Northern Motorway congestion, making it a popular option for Hibiscus Coast residents.
